Mehdipour Law PC offers SMS (text message) communications to our clients as a convenient way to stay updated about their legal matters. This policy outlines how our SMS program works, your rights, and how to manage your preferences.

1. PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Program Name: Mehdipour Law PC SMS Messaging

Program Description: We use SMS text messages to communicate with clients regarding their legal matters. Messages may include case updates, appointment reminders, billing notices, important dates, settlement offers, court notifications, and time-sensitive information relevant to your representation.

2. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile phone plan. Standard messaging and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply. These charges are the sole responsibility of the recipient and are determined by your mobile service provider, not by Mehdipour Law PC. Contact your carrier for details on your specific plan limitations.

Opt-In Consent

SMS communications require your express prior written or verbal consent. When you provide your mobile phone number and authorize SMS communications, you are consenting to receive text messages about your legal matter from Mehdipour Law PC. You must provide this consent before we will send any messages.

Confidentiality of Messages

Text messages may contain confidential information about your legal matter. Ensure that your mobile phone is in a secure location and that only authorized individuals have access. You are responsible for maintaining confidentiality. If someone else has access to your phone, you may wish to communicate sensitive information through other means.

3. HOW TO OPT OUT

To stop receiving SMS messages from Mehdipour Law PC at any time:

Reply “STOP” to any message you receive from us.

You will receive one final confirmation text message acknowledging your opt-out request. After opting out, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. However, you may still receive important communications via other methods (telephone, email, mail, or in person).

Please note: Opting out of SMS does not affect your legal representation. We can continue to represent you and will communicate through alternative methods.

4. REQUEST FOR HELP

To request assistance with our SMS program or ask questions about what you’re receiving:

Reply “HELP” to any message you receive from us.

You may also contact us directly by email at alex@mehdlaw.com with questions about the SMS program.

5. TECHNICAL ISSUES

Message delivery and receipt can be affected by network conditions, device settings, signal strength, and your wireless carrier’s systems. While we make every effort to send messages reliably, we cannot guarantee delivery. If you do not receive an important message, please contact us immediately via email or phone to ensure you receive critical information about your case.

6. CARRIER LIABILITY

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Your wireless carrier is not responsible for any messages that do not reach you or that arrive with delays. Any complaints or issues regarding message delivery should be directed to your carrier or to our office.

7. PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION

Your mobile phone number and SMS consent information will NEVER be shared with third parties, affiliates, or outside organizations for marketing or promotional purposes.

This is a requirement of the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA) and is strictly enforced by Mehdipour Law PC. Your phone number is used exclusively for legal communications about your case with our office.
